英文摘要:
Editors Owen and Griffiths (child and youth studies, Brock U., Canada) have enlisted help from expert in contributors in the fields of history, psychology, philosophy, medicine and the law to examine human right challenges for people with intellectual disabilities. These articles and case studies provide practitioners, advocates, lawyers and students with a variety of perspectives on such topics as self-determination and the role of person- centered planning, the rights of people with intellectual disabilities in international law and access to proper education choices. These human rights are also examined in terms of sexuality, medical treatment and the use of "therapeutic punishment." Annotation 穢2009 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com) |
