英文摘要: This teaching package focuses on the Canadian Human Rights Code and the processes involved in dealing with complaints. It includes lesson activities, a human rights quiz, case studies, fact sheets and a glossary. The guide is based on the conviction that the classroom provides an ideal environment in which to teach the valued concepts of equality, justice and fairness, and the need for teachers and administrators to reinforce as well as model these principles and concepts. This updated version (orginal version was published in 1995) incorporates the latest developments in case law and policy as well as more case studies. The package includes the Ontario Human Rights Commission's new Policy and Guidelines on Disability and the Duty to Accommodate and the addition of "same-sex partnership status" as a new ground under the Code. original connect: http://www.hrea.org/ |
