The most traditional in form and approach is The Modern Law of Self-Determination, a collection of eleven essays by leading European scholars edited by Christian Tomuschat, with appended excerpts from ten critical documents. The essays, varying in length and complexity, exemplify today’s diverse scholarly approaches to self-determination. Each contributor has separately published more thorough treatments of the issues, and, as might be expected in the collection of this type, non of the essays responds to any other.
